I am an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and also the director of the research group ISOR (Research centre for the study of religion). I have been visiting fellow at Boston University (2009), Universiteit Van Amsterdam (2008), Exeter University (2006), Université de Lausanne (2016), and at l'Ão/oocole Pratique des Hautes Ão/ootudes (2022).  

My main research expertise lies at the intersection of religion, spirituality, identity and heritage regimes in contemporary Europe. I have coordinated several competitive projects in these fields and have extensively published in leading academic journals and prestigious book series. I am the vice-president of the RC22 committee on Sociology of Religion of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and member of the European Board of the IESR (Institut Européen en Sciences des ReligionsâEUR Paris).
