Nezih Guner is an ICREA Research Professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Research Professor of Barcelona School of Economics. He received his BA in Economics and Sociology from Bogazici University (Turkey) in 1992 and his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 2000. He is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Study of Labor (IZA), a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and a Network Leader at HCEO-University Chicago. He has been a member of the Council of the European Economic Association (2016-2020), and President of the Spanish Economic Association (2018). He is a fellow of the European Economic Association and the Spanish Economic Association. He was an Editor of the Economic Journal (2017-2021), the Journal of Spanish Economic Association-SERIEs (2015-2017), and Economic Inquiry (2009-2012). In 2010 he was awarded a Starting Grant by the European Research Council.
